Duck shooting.

On a foggy June morning, Dad, me and our dog Axle went duck and pheasant hunting. It was a long walk over a hilly farm, up the streams and sneaking up to the dams.

This was what it looked like up the road from my house on Ruapekapeka road.
Here are 2 out of the 5 ducks we shot, in the oven ready for roasting.

  3. Hi Kyla! My name is Mia from Yaldhurst Model school and I like this post because you have added pictures to make it interesting and eye catching.

The pictures look beautiful! it reminds me of when I used to drive up to Nelson from Christchurch.

Have you noticed that the "road" is of on the side instead of with the rest of text? Next time I think that you should add more information about what you did and how it was.

    Great job!
    Mia

  5. Wow that's totally amazing!
Hi Kyla, My name is Jedi and I am a year 7 at YMS. This post is so bright and eye catching. And the photos are so clear! Who took them? Was it you? If it was then you should be a professional photographer.

It must have been so much fun, running out in the wild. With the fresh breeze in your hair. It kind of reminds me when my friend Ayla and I used to go pheasant hunting too. It was the best day ever.

And that duck your roasting look's so great! Kinda wish I was there.
From all of the posts I have commented on this year. Your was the best by far!

    Great job
    Jedi

  6. Hey there Kyla, my name is Parwin and I am a year 7 from Yaldhurst Model school, I really like your blog post because it was eye catching and the photos look amazing! I like how you added in your first sentence 'On a foggy June Morning' because in just a couple of words you explained when it was, how it was like. I haven't been hunting yet and I am not so sure I would want to hunt them, like if I see someone
shoot a duck or any other animal, I would get very angry and sad. Idon't think that you can improve onanything because you did a great job! Who took the photos, did you take the photos?

Looking forward to your next blog posts,
    Parwin

I really like your misty photo with your dog and the other picture with the roast ducks looked really yummy.
I like your work because the view was very pretty and the mist even made it prettier when the sun came up and shone through the mist. It looked pretty in the morning. You must have had so much fun going hunting for ducks. It was great that you brought the dog because dogs like catching ducks.
    Blog ya later.
